Any of you upgrading to a performance header on your Scion (all models) you NEED A STRUP CEL ELIMINATOR!! ALL Scion models are notorious for throwing codes when upgrading to an aftermarket performance header. Such codes WILL cause the Check Engine Light (CEL), Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) and Traction Control (TC) to come on. Not only that, these codes will cause the engine to run poorly because of the air/fuel mixture being too rich.
The answer . . a Strup CEL Eliminator for your Scion xA, xB, tC or xD !! The Strup CEL Eliminator threads into the O2 sensor housing on the S-Pipe behind the header. Once the CEL Eliminator is threaded into the S-Pipe (done with S-Pipe out of vehicle), you thread your O2 sensor into the other end of CEL Eliminator.
The CEL Eliminator fools your ECU into thinking that you still have a Catalytic Converter. A MUST FOR ANY SCION MODEL!!!
